Going to be a very short one today...
There is hardly any news regarding Arsenal and transfers. Their have been interviews with Cazorla, Mertesacker and Podolski which you can access via Arsenal.com. Per says that this summer is far better than last and he also states that Podolski is jumping right into the life in London. Cazorla has been giving the usual 'new signing' words. How great the club is, how we can win titles and the optimism going into next season. I'm not saying I don't appreciate his optimism and I do feel we have a chance next season. We just need about 2 more players. More on who those players should be tomorrow.
Their were reports which originated from Manchester Evening News which said that Van Persie is going to sign with United soon. He is still in Germany and working hard with a good attitude. United are very interested and have lodged 2 different bids both which were rejected. If he goes to United I have lost all respect for him. They are our biggest rivals and it would be a blow if we strengthened them with the hope we could compete next season. It would also be a new low for our board. I'd rather lose him to City than United. If it was up to Arsene he wouldn't sell him anywhere in England, nevermind United. He hates Ferguson and knows that strengthening them would be a mistake. I was optimistic he would stay and I still have a feeling he will. Though I am being quite naive when saying that.
Sorry for the short post, a very busy day.
'Till Tomorrow
