Evening all,
We are still awaiting the announcement of the Cazorla transfer which is confusing many Arsenal fans around the world. We now know that Malaga have the capacity to sign off on a transfer as was shown with Rubin Kazan's ability to announce the signing of Rondon a couple of days ago. We also know, from incredibly reliable sources that Cazorla has passed a medical and penned a 70k a week contract. We know that he has had a tour of the training ground and he has met the players. I am pretty sure we have agreed the fee with Malaga. Unless the transfer is complete and Arsenal are just holding back, I am really at a loss as to how it hasn't been announced. I have it from another reliable source that Cazorla has traveled to Germany with the rest of the squad. Widespread reports over the weekend stated that the deal will be confirmed early in the week. Monday is almost complete and tomorrow would be the last day which could be classified as 'early'. I am not worried that the deal won't happen, I am sure that's not the case. I just want to be able to say he is our player. I want to write that article about how his signing affects the midfield for next season. I'll just have to be patient, not my best virtue.
The squad did travel to Germany today and the youngster that everyone is talking about has gone as well. Serge Gnabry who made his debut for the reserves at only 16 years of age and signed professional terms a few weeks ago. Such a promising talent and I hope to see him in the Carling Cup (which has been renamed into something with many words). Benik Afobe has been loaned to Bolton which has turned into a club Arsenal really likes. I and many other Arsenal fans used to hate Bolton. They used to be that bogey team when Allardyce was in charge. The Stoke City of yesteryear. They have turned a few promising talents into grown up players. Jack Wilshere, Ryo Miyaichi, Daniel Sturridge have all been through their system and have come out better for it. Hopefully Benik can refine his finishing and become a more complete striker.
There's still not much going on in regards to outgoing players. I haven't heard a thing regarding Squillaci and Bendtner or Park for that matter. All players Wenger said will leave. I'm sure he wasn't lying and they will be going soon, whether on a free or on loan.
Nothing else happening. Patience is a virtue guys, remember that...
'Till Tomorrow
