M'Baye Niang not a necessity; Rivals step it up a gear; M'Vila to Inter?

Afternoon all,

We kicked off the day with Sky Sports News reporting that Caen had accepted our bid for M'Baye Niang. He has been on  a trial with us and has seemingly impressed the staff. Other suitors include Man City and Spurs, and their sudden interest in the player sparked us into action.
It was later confirmed that we had made a bid, but it was not accepted and they want more money. I really couldn't care whether we sign him or not. We have so many good, young striking prospects that it doesn't make sense to splash out on another one.

We have received a 'string' of offers for Robin Van Persie according to the Mirror. None of them have been close to our 25mil valuation. Apparently Robin and Wenger will sit down for more talks about his future in the coming days. Whether those talks will be about a new contract or just purely to clarify his position, I don't know. What I really need is a straight answer and I think Arsenal needs a straight answer. It wouldn't make sense to sell him in my opinion. We won't use his sale money for a replacement anyway, Arsenal never buy ready made replacements. We should play hard ball. He stays whether he likes it or not. You might be worried about what his attitude will be like, what his performances will be like or how we would lose out on the potential cash injection. In my view he cannot afford to sulk, remember that he is playing for the last big contract of his career. As I said, we won't be buying a replacement if we sold him so keeping him would make more sense. On 80k a week he isn't exactly draining our resources. Whatever we choose to do, we had better do it fast.

With the likes of Chelsea spending like they have an unlimited supply of money (along with Hazard and Marin, they have bid 25mil for Oscar and another 26mil for Willian) and Man Utd not wasting their time either (they had a bid of 29mil turned down for Lucas Moura), we have to step up our game. Sign up our existing players and buy players we still need, not mentioning the fact we need to offload at least another 3/4 players. I saw that an Italian newspaper had reported that Inter have agreed a 14mil deal with Rennes for M'Vila. Bargain.

Nothing else happening today..

'Till Tomorrow
